Though the collection was published one year after Goldsmith's death, the preface written by him indicates the collection was intended for publishing at the time of his passing. Soundly bound in full period speckled calf with five raised bands at spine; red leather title label with partial loss. Bound with 3 blanks at front and the half-title and 3 blanks at rear, all original. Contents clean and bright; there are no ownership indications or attachments. Light rubbing to leather at extremities. An unusually well preserved copy. VG+ .
