No additional printings on copyright page. Illustrated endpapers. Solid binding, clean text. Toning to endpapers and a few pages of text, light foxing to page ends. Spine ends and corners rubbed, worn through in places. Light soiling along top of covers. In publisher's illustrated dust jacket, retail price of $2.50 on front flap, light toning, soiling to back panel. Vertical crease along spine. Dampstains to both panels. Chipping and tears along top and bottom edges, two tape repairs on verso. Charlotte Armstrong's Mischief was the basis for the 1952 film Don't Bother to Knock, starring Marilyn Monroe, Richard Widmark and Anne Bancroft.
