Spine ends, corners worn. Endpapers foxed. Last few pages show light foxing as well. Set in an English village. Miss Buncle needs to write a book to obtain additional income, but she has little imagination, so she writes truthfully about her friends. Unfortunately, this was not appreciated, and the book caused quite a stir.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall .
