The soft cover has some slight toning to the edges and some very slight curling at the corners. The original two shillings price is present on the bottom right-hand corner. The text blocks are markedly clean for post-war paper stock and are free from foxing. The internals are equally clean and not toned; it is free from previous owners ink. Small closed tear to the foot of the spine. Overall, this is a very good copy. The first paperback edition of the classic work, originally published in 1932.
