The first edition of Air Chief Marshall Sir Basil Embry's (1902-1977) memoirs of his service with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Field Marshal William 'Bill' Slim, first Viscount Slim (1891-1970), British Army officer. Slim joined the army at the outbreak of the First World War and fought in the Dardanelles, France, and Iraq.
