This book is filled with examples of furniture from the Arts and Crafts period, and primarily contains items produced by Gustav Paul Royka was an appraiser for Skinner Auctions and was a regular on the Antiques Road Show. His vast knowldege of Arts & Crafts furniture and its makers is apparent in this book--from the general information about styles, makers and construction techniques, to descriptions of individual pieces displayed here. Stickley, Limbert, Hubbard, etc. are all represented, all with prices current as of the printing of the book. Each item is described and has a color photo. Divided into sections according to furniture type. Contains a section in the rear reproducing a catalog from the William Leavens Furniture Co. (with values). Contains a bibliography in the rear. Original black cloth publisher's cloth covers with gray spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates.The jacket has some edgewear, but is still quite presentable and has been protecting this book since new. ; Color Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 256 pages .
