Hardcover without dust jacket, xi + 507 pages; red cloth boards with clear and legible, but no longer bright, gilt lettering on spine, gently used, only light shelf wear to cover corners and spine ends, rubbing and a hint of soiling to back cover, spine sun faded, free front endpaper removed exposing the webbing, but hinge not cracked, tight in binding, edges age toned but all pages surprisingly very clean and unmarked (no foxing) despite being a centenarian plus.
