From title page: "A new and complete guide containing hundreds of quick methods for performing work in carpentry, joining and general woodwork, written in a simple, every-day style that does not bewilder the workingman, illustrated with hundreds of diagrams which are especially made so that anyone can follow them without difficulty." 8vo size green clothbound hardcover with red leather extended spine and corners; bright gilt titles on spine and front cover, back cover has the publisher's name engrossed in back cover; 193 pages with black and white illustrations and bright gilt topstain, followed by: an illustrated House Plan Supplement on glossy stock - "Perspective Views and Floor Plans of Twenty-five Low and Medium Priced Houses" followed by a catalogue of the publisher's other works. Book is divided into parts with multiple chapters Contents include: Carpenter's Geometry Practical Examples Joiner's Work Useful Tables and Memoranda for Builders Edgewear, notably to the leather; worn corners and head and heel of spine, leather on spine is darkened; chip to head and heel of spine. The leather is peeling from the top corner of back cover; there is a fingermark on bottom of book; some light soil to front and rear endpapers and to white area of frontispiece; and there is a very small spot to red leather spine on front cover. . Quarter Leather. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
