Hint of shadowing on endpapers; previous owner's name lightly pencilled on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original printed paper dust jacket, rubbed and chipped, chapped at spine head and along rear upper edge, faded and soiled. A study of the effects of the impact of the western world on India and the reflex action of Indian culture on the West; it is the work of a number of expert authors collaborating to give a composite picture of the influence of the West on Indian life and culture.
