London: The Palaeontographical Society, 1876. Book. Very Good. Hardback. First Edition. 4to (22 x 28cm). Complete; 1876, pp. 166; 12 fine lithographic plates printed on India paper, mounted on thick paper, plus associated text. Titles and half-titles present. Bound in red buckram cloth with gilt lettering to the spine; very good and clean with slight wear only, a small knock to the head of the front board. Contents clean and tight, single stamp to each endpaper, both paste-downs with the remnants of previous clear plastic cover; otherwise unmarked and without inscriptions, plates all clean, top corner of some pages slightly knocked. A very good clean bright copy. The fine original plates are so much better than the later 1970 reprint.
