Sobre este artículo

New York, NY Simon & Schuster, 1982. Hardcover First Edition USA (1982); First printing indicated by a complete numerical sequence. Appears to have been published in Canada earlier in the same year by Lester & Orpen. Near Fine in Fine DJ: The Book shows only a hint of toning to the top and bottom edge of the grey-board panels; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a single unobtrusive cosmetic imperfection. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Very close to 'As New'. The DJ is flawless; the price is unclipped; mylar-protected. Virtually 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.75 x 5.85 x 1 inches). 221 pages. Language: English. Weight: 15.5 ounces. Black quarter-cloth with silver titles at the backstrip on grey boards with embossed authorial initials "G.G." at the front panel. Appears to have been published in Canada earlier in the same year by Lester & Orpen. Hardback with DJ. Graham Greene (1904 – 1991) was regarded by many as one of the most thoughtful and engaging English novelists of the 20th century. Combining critical acclaim with widespread popularity, Greene acquired a reputation early in his lifetime as a major writer, both of serious novels, often on Catholic themes, and of thrillers (or "entertainments" as he termed them). He was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize in Literature several times. Through 67 years of writing, which included over 25 novels, he explored the conflicting moral and political issues of the modern world. He was awarded the 1968 Shakespeare Prize and the 1981 Jerusalem Prize. "Monsignor Quixote" is a light-hearted, delightful romp which nevertheless manages to explore some serious philosophical and political issues from the author of such classics as "The Power and The Glory," "The Quiet American,".
