Montana Fever is the first book in the Made in Montana series by American author, Jackie Merritt. When successful rancher Duke Sheridan walks into the Men’s Western Wear store and spots Lola Fanon, he is immediately attracted, and determined to get to know this lovely lady better. But Lola is just as determined to stay immune to Duke’s sweet talking. Yet somehow she finds herself agreeing to go out with him. He’s attractive, very sexy, but he’s also opinionated and intent on having things his own way, while she’s an independent woman, not used to being told. The banter between this pair is very snappy, and Merritt’s heroes are never shy about declaring their feelings of lust (and of love). Merritt adds an element of mystery to this series with short narrative passages in each chapter about an unknown woman who is observing the Fanon family. Readers will look forward to the next book in the series, Montana Passion.
