Sobre este artículo

Macon, GA: Mercer University Press. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1997. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 0865545219 . Xl, 722 pps, followed by 12 maps & 42 b/w plates. Extensive indices. Large heavy octavo in original dull ocher cloth with brown text to front cover and spine. Minor shelf wear, bottom back cover has small faint stain. Interior clean and unmarked. A very nice copy of this study of Montanism, or the New Prophecy, the early Christian movement that grew up from the followers of Montanus. It gained strength in the early days of the Church but then was deemed heretical and was suppressed. Tertullian was a defender of the charismatic sect and some believe that he actually left the Orthodox Church and joined a Montanist group. Heavy for international shipping. In English with some Greek. June 1997 1st printing, #16 Patristic Monograph Series. ; North American Patristic Society Monograph Series; Vol. 16; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 722 pages .
