New York: Boni & Liveright, 1928. This is a Very Good copy of the First Trade Edition (a Limited Edition was published two years previously). Umber paper-covered boards with a black cloth spine; gilt titling on the spine and Dreiser's signature in gilt on the front cover. Clean text; xi, 385 pages. There are fifteen "symbols" by Hugh Gray Lieber. Light soil, mildly bumped, light rub to spine margins. A solid copy, somewhat less common than the limited version. Lacking the dustjacket.. First Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Hugh Gray Lieber. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
