Sobre este artículo

The First UK Printing published by Andre Deutsch in 1987. The BOOK is in near Fine condition and appears unread. Free from inscriptions and erasures. A little pushing at the lower spine end. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. No fading to the spine colouring. Small nicked area at the lower corner of the rear cover with some associated creasing. A small amount of unnecessary reinforcement tape to the verso supporting this nick. The wrapper artwork looks striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed and dated by Penelope Lively to the title page:' A ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. Accompanied by The Booker Prize Shortlist Bookmark which is in Fine condition and has also been signed by the author at her named entry. The Winner of the 1987 Booker Prize. A sharp copy and very scarce with such attributes. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.

Sinopsis

Moon Tiger is a 1987 novel by Penelope Lively which spans the time before, during and after World War II. The novel won the 1987 Booker Prize. It is written from multiple points of view and moves backward and forward through time in ways which can be difficult to follow. It begins as the story of a woman who, on her deathbed, decides to write a history of the world, and develops into a story of love, incest and the desire to be recognized as an independent free thinking woman of the time.
