Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" A SUPERB PRESENTATION COPY, signed and inscribed by author to noted American poet Denise Levertov: 'for Denise - with a deep gratitude for your contribution to my imagination. Love, Nor August 1980.' Levertov's work is extensively quotes and discussed in the book. In addition, Levertov has extensively annotated this copy with questions, commentary, objections, and contravening theses, primarily in ink (with some pencil). Also, laid in loose is a 10-line beginnings of a letter from Levertov to author Nor Hall raising textual questions about the book, in pencil, on back of a scrap of a version of Yeats' 'Leda and the Swan.' Some fading and edge wear to binding; some surface and edge wear to jacket.
