Sobre este artículo

Handwritten note from the author addressed to Vern [Bullough], stating "Vern, I believe this article deals with our present investigation and confirms your findings re: the need for 1. formal schoolings 2. with others & 3. leadership." The purpose of this paper is to show that successful symphony conducting depends on Durkheimian "moral density" and concentration of interaction and that the activities associated with achieving success as a conductor are such that they are compatible with traditional male roles and incompatible with traditional female roles.
