Sobre este artículo

London: John Churchill, 1834. Second Edition. . Hardcover. A two volume set which has been rebound in plain, dark blue buckram with no titling on cover; new, plain end papers and rather unattractive plain white hinge tape. From the Preface: "The object of the following Essays is to describe the various morbid alterations in the structure of the Human eye, and to illustrate, by Engravings, those which are most remarkable." Books are illustrated with seventeen pages of engravings which are hand-coloured, Volume I has 175 pages; Volume II has 282 pages. Covers are clean and tight with rounded corners, text block edges and page edges are darkened, foxing spots throughout; twenty or so pages following the table of contents in Volume I have stains and creases to lower free corner, as well as a few pages in Volume II; on the half-title page there is an ink inscription that reads "For W. Braine from the author" - initials at end are illegible. This is a handsome set. Books are overweight. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees. Canadian customers, please note that applicable sales taxes will be added. Please contact us with any questions you might have. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
