Sobre este artículo

HARDBACK, ?UNCOMMON,? SHIPPED FROM THE UK* Edn: 1st?* Imp: 1st?* Date of Publication: Undated. (1944).* Publisher: The Brockhampton Book Co. Ltd.* Binding and cover condition: Colour illustrated paper-covered boards, black title to face only. No bumps, minor rubs, considerable shelf wear to boards and returns but no losses. ACC* Jacket condition: No dust jacket. ND* Contents condition: PRIVATE COPY NOT EX-LIBRARY. Stitched binding in good tight condition. Plain end-papers (slightly aged). Clean, crisp, tight and bright with minimal reading wear, no marks to text, very slight marks to top & fore-edge, otherwise no visible faults. VG+.* Illustrations: Colour line drawn illustrations to each page within text throughout.* Pages: Unpaginated (32 pp.) text.* Description: This is the second Bird Book in the ?Young Naturalist? series. The first dealt with the common British birds and it was hoped to reprint it as soon as possible after the publication of this volume. Two further Bird Books were planned at the time and we assume this to indicate that this is the first edition of 1944. The book is illustrated with attractive representations of the birds and their habitats drawn in colour by John Read from the Author?s sketches and each with a descriptive text. This is in a ?script style? italic font particular to The Brockhampton Press.* A NEAR FINE text copy of the 1st? thus with considerable wear to boards reducing it to ACC.*
