Sobre este artículo
London: Religious Tract Society, 1893. Hardcover. Very Good. 320, [2] p.; 20 cm. Publisher's dark blue cloth with gilt-stamped spine title. Dark brown endpapers. Publisher's advertisements on final two unpaginated pages. Former owner's name on half title: "A. Donaldson Smith 1898." This was possibly Dr. Arthur Donaldson Smith (1866-1939), an American doctor and explorer of parts of Africa. The author, James Gilmour (1843-1891), was a Scottish Christian missionary who represented the London Missionary Society in China and Mongolia. This volume, published after his death, contains his journal entries from his first two years in China and Mongolia (1870-1871), as well as other reflections on life in Mongolia in the 1870s. In Very Good Condition: ends of spine and corners lightly rubbed; boards are slightly soiled; otherwise, clean and solid.
