Slight softening of spine ends and light rubbing to cover corners. Grey cloth with black illustration, yellow title lettering and black band on bottom. Colorfully illustrated stories intended for 5th graders using the reading series, introducing 673 new words (vocabulary list included). Vintage publication used in Parochial schools in the late 1950s. Stories are grouped into: Young citizens of Other Lands; The Great Outdoors; Famous People of Other Days; In the Days of Our Lord; and, Old Tales. 320 pages.
