William Heinemann, 1913. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed. Limited to 1130 copies, this is #488, SIGNED by Arthur Rackham on the limitation page. Quarto, original gilt stamped white buckram, top edges gilt, deckled fore and bottom edges. 13 color illustrations mounted on heavy brown stock, all with labeled tissue guards, 85 black and white illustrations. The buckram covers have light soiling, some edge foxing, a toned spine, and a bit of fraying on the spine tail. The first two and last two endpapers have foxing and there are a few spots on the first tissue guard. A small bookseller's label is pasted to the bottom of the front endpaper and there are remains of two pieces of tape on the front endpaper next to the gutter. The text and illustrations are in excellent condition. This is an oversized book; priority and international mailings will require additional postage.
