Sobre este artículo
Little, Brown & Company, Boston, 1929; First Edition; 8vo, 283 pages. Rollicking series of interrelated tales of the escapades of a trio of enterprising high-society con artists: daredevil bon-vivant Samuel T. Billingham, American businessman whose fortune was made in the linoleum trade; a debonair but destitute French Marquis; and the Marquis’s glamorous niece, Madelon, all of whom conspire to fleece the high society habitués of the gaming rooms at Monte Carlo. Authored by Edward Phillips Oppenheim (1866-1946), wildly popular in his day, who is credited with over one hundred novels and nearly forty short story collections, which earned him the sobriquet of "Prince Of Storytellers." Many of Oppenheim’s books were adapted to photo plays in the early years of the motion picture industry, and in 1936 his novel "The Amazing Quest Of Mr. Ernest Bliss" was made into the film of the same name starring Cary Grant and Mary Brian. Very Good Plus, clean, crisp, bright, binding tight, sound and square, corners sharp, in a much chipped dust jacket that has two seams reinforced on the verso with japan paper.
