Los Angeles: Black Sparrow,, 1968.. First edition, publisher’s copy.. 41 pp. Toning to spine and extrems, else near fine in full leather with printed paper spine label. Near fine acetate dust jacket. Designated “Publisher’s Copy” on the colophon page and SIGNED by Purdy. As in the deluxe issue, there is an original drawing tipped-in after the title page. Additionally INSCRIBED by Purdy, “for John Martin / with friendship and / all good wishes / and with appreciation / from / James / December 6, 1968. Laid in are two extra drawings and a June 4, 1969 holograph letter from Purdy to Martin stating in part, “You have no equal in book publication!”
