Sobre este artículo
Carlton: Melbourne University Press, 2004. Limited/Numbered. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket as Issued. Near fine - a very neat, clean copy of the signed and hand-numbered presentation edition of 800 specially created to celebrate the re-opening of the National Gallery of Victoria in December 2003 after the make-over by Mario Bellini + Metier 3. Signed by John Poynter on the limitation plate on the front free endpaper. Original black boards with gilt title to spine, enclosed in matching illustrated slipcase. 639 pages including black & white, and coloured photograhic plates, bibliography and index. Slipcase has a light bump to lower edge, and some very slight rubbing. The book falls naturally into two parts; the first is a biography of Felton, the second deals with his bequests and their execution. With Felton's bequest after his death in 1904, the National Gallery gained access to acquisition funds greater than London's Tate and National Galleries combined! Uncommon edition. Listing with Biblio since 2005, we guarantee our book descriptions, & post the next business day.
