One of the books, Mrs Peter Rabbit states on the title page that it was produced under wartime conditions, giving and indication of it's age. Probably 1940s.

A. Friendly's Books was founded in Downtown Overland Park, Kansas, in 1994 as a brick and mortar used, rare and out-of-print bookstore. The store is named for the original A. Friendly who, legend has it, traveled around the country to small towns and homesteads in the early days of the US carrying a sack of books on his back, or sometimes pulling a small cart filled with books to sell and trade. He often told stories to the townspeople and even taught some how to read. Today we use the internet but our love for books is the same as in the days of A. Friendly.
