Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing of this "New Edition" as stated on copyright page, was originally published in 1940 under the title "Mrs. Tim of the Regiment," the spine-ends are soft, a bookplate is present on the front end-paper, and a name has been covered with liquid paper on the inside of the front cover, the binding is clean and tight and the contents are fine, the jacket has a short, open tear on the spine and moderate edge-wear at top of spine, the jacket is clean and presentable, it features a photo of the author on the rear panel, seated at her desk writing and a color-illustrated front panel, both are in very nice shape, the original price (6.95) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included ; 378 pages .
