Edited by 2 of the leading figures in theoretical physics: Vernon Hughes of Yale University won the Davisson-Germer Prize in Atomic Physics, the Rumford Prize, and the Tom W. Bonner Prize in Nuclear Physics. Chien-Shiung Wu of Columbia University worked on the Manhattan Project and was the first winner of the Wolf Prize in Physics.
