Covers worn and soiled, lean to binding. Light water staining to rear cover affecting rear endsheet and several adjacent leaves. pages toned, lightly musty, with foxing to prelims and terminals. Former owner bookplate to front pastedown, name and date written to front free endpaper. Rear inner hinge exposed at very bottom. Only about 350 copies of the first issue in a smooth green cloth with spine gilt lettered were issued. The total print run was only 1250 copies and of these almost 900 were remaindered in a second issue binding of coarse green cloth.
