The fragile boards are slightly soiled and moderately worn with the top corners gently bumped. spine label is tanned and nicked, a very good copy. One of 775 copies signed by Welty on the limitation page. Additionally inscribed by Welty to authors Allen Tate and Caroline Gordon on the front fly leaf. "To Caroline and Allen with love from Eudora". Kentucky bon authors Tate and Gordon married in 1924, became an integral part of the Southern Agrarian Fugitive movement, an enjoyed a long friendship with Welty.
