The first edition of this short story collection, held in original price-clipped dustwrapper. Sir Kingsley Amis was a popular English novelist, poet, critic and teacher. He wrote in many genres including comedy, science fiction and mystery. He was regarded as one of the finest English comic novelists of the second half of the twentieth century. Amis won many awards during his time, including the Booker Prize, which he was shortlisted for three times before finally winning in 1986. In original full cloth binding and held in original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally , very smart with a small amount of bumping to the extremities. Light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is sunned to the spine and to the extremities. Chipping and closed tears to the head of wraps. Spots to the wraps. Gift inscription to the recto of front endpaper, E from H with Love. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
