Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott Co., 1941 Popular Edition, 34th Impression, 253 pages, clean, crisp, and uncreased. In fact, it doesn't look like it has ever been opened. Red cloth binding, tight, with no stains and only minor bumping/shelfwear to the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is brightly illustrated and has a picture of a scene from the television series My Friend Flicka with Johnny Washbrook (Ken) sitting on Flicka. The dust jacket has some chipping on the top and bottom of the spine and closed tears on both the front and back. The spine of the dust jacket is also faded and the price has been clipped. Altogether this book is in great shape. We ship daily.. Cloth. Very Good +/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Sinopsis
My Friend Flicka is a 1941 novel by Mary O'Hara, about Ken McLaughlin, the son of a Wyoming rancher, and his horse Flicka. It was the first in a trilogy, followed by Thunderhead (1943) and Green Grass of Wyoming (1946). The popular 1943 film version featured a young Roddy McDowall. It was followed by film adaptations of the other two novels, in 1945 and 1948, and by a television series (1956-1957) that first aired on CBS, then on NBC, followed by reruns on ABC and on CBS between 1959 and 1966.
