Library of the Classics Series. 16mo up to 6½" tall. 127 pp with frontispiece and sepia photos. Blue textured flexible boards with blue top edge and gold reading ribbon; gilt spine. Inscription to half title dated 1946 and free endpaper missing; otherwise contents are fine without markings, tears and folds. Irish-American author Alexander Irvine's reminiscences of growing up in poverty in Northern Ireland in the mid-19th century. "Our Lady of the Chimney-Corner" particularly focuses on his beloved mother.
