Sobre este artículo

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1936. This fascinating First Edition autobiography was written by a Viennese pioneer in orthopaedic surgery, who learned through trial and error new surgical methods to alleviate the afflictions of children, such as those with congenital hip-disease, club-feet, and other deformities. The book is in Very Good+ condition with a Very Good price-clipped dust jacket. The book has the necessary Scribner "A" and insignia on the Copyright Page to indicate First Printing. The volume is bound in a maroon cloth with reverse gilt lettering on the front panel and spine, as well as top-edge ochre stain. The endpapers show age toning, and there is a small gift inscription to the book's original owner on the front free endpaper. The binding is tight and secure, and the pages are bright. The dust jacket has a tear on the left front panel, several small chips, and edge rubbing. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. The book measures 6 1/2 by 9 inches and includes 362 pages, with Index. The book includes 19 black-and-white photographs. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
