Front endpaper is missing, perhaps having been glued to inside front board, which bears a pair of glue-removal scars. A 1922 parody of the exploration literature that was appearing in large quantity at the time, and the sequel to the equally farcical, South Seas setting, The Cruise of the Kawa..

With spectacular endpapers, possibly by Rockwell Kent (or possibly not). Cover faded, corners worn, some photos detached but present.
