Internally very clean, tight and unmarked with top edge uncut and a little light foxing to fore edge. A Good + to Very Good copy. Vol.I 439 pages + adverts, Vol II 496 pages, Vol III 445 pages + adverts. The author is in fact Sir Edward G.D. Bulwer-Lytton (1803-1873) the prolific Victorian novelist, poet, politician and essayist and this work was first published serialised in Blackwoods Magazine from 1850-53. Written in 12 books.
