London: Country Life, 1929. VII, 32 pp, 4to (12 1/4" H). Gray/purple cloth with paper title label on front board, purple marbled endpapers. 16 colour plates, including frontispiece (all present - clean, bright, with no tears or creases). All pages (text & illustrations) are printed on one side only on heavy stock (versos blank). Each illustration page consists of a colour plate and a drawing in the margin Lionel Edwards, renowned artist of British hunting life, presents a selection of works produced during "the course of almost annual visits to Scotland", with short notes facing each illustration. Horses, hounds, deer, grouse, foxes, huntsmen and Scottish scenery appear. The page gatherings are loose in the binding but are holding together well, light browning in the margins of the pages, light to moderate browning to the half-title page, a very small stain in the gutter of one or two pages, small bump to the fore-edge of three pages - one page with a very small tear, a bump at the bottom of the gutter of all pages, an area of very small perforations on the lower part of the rear board - migrates into pages as a hole turning into an indentation towards page 26, heavy browning to the edges of the text block, browning to the edges of the boards and the spine, the spine has a a small 1/4"x1/2' hole in the cloth, light wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spine..
