Memoirs by the author, who served as a maid and seamstress at the Executive Mansion before her retirement, following in the footsteps of her mother, Number One White House Maid for thirty years. Very liight rubbing to cover extremities. Very faint age darkening of spine cloth. Small, neat prior owner inscription to upper front endpaper. Otherwise clean and tight in a bright but moderately-to-heavily edgeworn dust jacket, with most wear to corners and spine edges. Worn closed 2" split at lower front cover corner where it adjoins front flap. Spine somewhat sunned. Panels lightly scuffed.
