The first known dramatic production of Nobel Prize-winning Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun's 1892 novel "Mysterier," premiering at Oslo's National Theater in the summer of 1976. Whether the stage adaptation was done by Hamsun or another unnamed party is not clear. The novel was adapted a few years later into a Dutch film called "Mysteries" in 1978, starring Sylvia Kristel and Rutger Hauer.
An itinerant stranger arrives in a small Norwegian coastal town and confuses the bourgeois locals with his strange behavior and spirited talk.
Blue titled Theater-Verlag Kurt Desch wrappers, with credits for novelist Knut Hamsun. Title page present, with credits for novelist Knut Hamsun. 104 leaves, with last page of text numbered 101. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with light soil and creasing at the binding, side stapled.
