Tan paper over boards with brown lettering and pictorial stamping, pictorial price-clipped dust jacket. 214pp. Frontispiece, orange pictorial endpapers. Near fine/very good. Some jacket edgewear, with chip at lower right of front panel and several tiny edge chips; nonauthorial gift inscription on inner flyleaf. A tight and nice later printing of the 8th volume (first published 1929) in the "Hardy Boys Mystery Series." Front jacket panel and inner flyleaf both list to 32nd series title (published in 1953, thus dating this copy).
Sinopsis
The Mystery Of Cabin Island is Volume 8 in the original The Hardy Boys book series published by Grosset & Dunlap. This book is one of the "Original 10", generally considered to be the best examples of the Hardy Boys, and Stratemeyer Syndicate, writing. This book is also considered, along with The Secret Of The Caves to be one of the best of the Hardy Boys stories.
