Myth: The Fallen Lords is the first real-time strategy game from Bungie, a company that is known for the high quality of its games. (i.e. Marathon was one of the best-selling games of all time for the Macintosh.) Extensive media coverage and high praise from the press have made Myth one of the most highly anticipated PC and Mac games. It features an incredible 3D world and extra emphasis on tactical combat, elements that lift it way above the pack. Author Bart Farkas received unprecedented support from the Myth development team, allowing him to create the definitive exclusive, official guide to this fast-paced fantasy combat game. This is the only authorized guide to Myth, to be published. Written with the full support of Bungie Software, this book contains in-depth strategies and tactics for every mission, behind-the-scenes information, original art from the game, and tips for multiplayer gaming and customization.
The book is best for the single player levels. This book certainly beats downloading solutions from someone's Myth site. It gives a brief description of the goal of the level and a map that shows enemy army locations. Then it gives a usually three page detailed walkthrough of each level. It also includes character descriptions, special abilities, etc. For multiplayer games it gives a description of the various games you can play multiplayer, few tactics except 'Try to flank' or 'Always attack 3 on 1'. For more multiplayer information try web sites such as myth.gamestats.com or indigo.gamewatch.com.
The book is approximately 7 3/8 X 8 7/8 inches in size and contains 271 pages. The cover price is $19.99. For comparison, another copy of the book is currently offered on the Internet at BooksaMillion for $19.99. For more info about this other book, Visit:Book Web Site
