Bobbie Ann Mason (b. 1940) is a novelist, literary critic, and Pulitzer Prize finalist. Her first novel, In Country, was adapted into a film starring Bruce Willis and Emily Lloyd in 1989. Nabokov's Garden predates all her other works, and is the published version of her doctoral dissertation in literature, awarded from the University of Connecticut.
