Hardback. Jonathan Cape, 1967. Hardback with dj. First edition of this book. 'The Naked Ape' by Desmond Morris. Not a reprint. Dj is bright and unclipped. Slight rubbing to top and bottom of spine. Now protected in loose, clear cellophane, easily removed. Lovely hessian boards with green spine. Contents are without writing etc. Ffep has a slight area of rub to top right hand corner (old price rubbed out?) but overall a very good copy.
Sinopsis
Desmond Morris was born in Wiltshire in 1928. He became curator of mammals at London Zoo in 1959, a post he held for eight years. He was already the author of some fifty scientific papers and seven books before completing The Naked Ape in 1967, which was to sell over 10 million copies throughout the world and be translated into almost every known language. He has made many television programs and films on human and animal behaviour. He is also an accomplished artist.
