Stated first printing half bound in black cloth and black boards with gold spine lettering. 8vo size, 255pp. A Near Fine copy in a Very Good dust jacket. The book has a faint soil mark to the outer edge of the page block. The front fly leaf, half-title page, and title page each h ave a faint diagonal, 3" crease at their lower edges. The first issue dust jacket has no Zip Code and no Roman Numeral on the rear panel. It has a $6.00 price on the inner front flap. The jacket has a couple of tiny frays at the head of the spine and a tiny rub mark at the top ri ght corner of the front panel. Small rubs to the corners. A clean, bri ght and attractive copy of this Literary Masterpiece. .

Naked Lunch (sometimes referred to as The Naked Lunch) is a novel by William S. Burroughs originally published in 1959. The book was originally published with the title The Naked Lunch in Paris in 1959 by Olympia Press. An American edition by Grove Press followed soon after in 1962. The American edition was titled Naked Lunch and was substantially different from the Olympia Press edition, because it was based on an earlier 1958 manuscript in Allen Ginsberg's possession.
