Gilt Title and Vol. No on Red Grounds in 2 compartments with Gilt Decoration filling the others. Ornate Gilt Decorative Borders to fronts & backs, also Gilt Decoration on board edges and inside borders. Endpapers and all page edges Marbled. Vol. I, 511 Pages; Vol. II, 542 Pages. 8 1/2" Tall, 1.6 Kilos. Backstrip missing from spine of Vol II (see photos). Split to leather down right side of spine of Vol. I. Front board of Vol. I and both boards of Vol. II detached and reattached from inside with hinge tape. No inscriptions. A few small, light pencil marks in margins of a few pages in vol II. Only a very occasional spot of foxing. Pages in very good, clean condition. Set weighs 1.6 Kilos so Shipping outside UK will be extra.
