Published by the Werner Company, Chigaco, 1895, de-luxe edition of 1000 copies. Publishers green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front board, no dustwrapper. Small folio, 13.75ins x 11ins, xiii, (i), 343pp plus frontis portrait. Also four double page illustrations in colour, 16 full page illustrations in colour, eight double page illustrations in black and white, 14 full page illustrations in black and white and a very large number of smaller illustrations. Original spine has been neatly relaid. First text page has been repaired along the outer edge using a vellum type tape which has now discoloured. Frontis portrait foxed to the margins. Written on the front free endpaper is ""Joseph Elliott, won in a raffle Dec 1896, Bengal"". Overall VG. Nb heavy book (3kg pre-packing) would be expensive to post overseas.
