Gilt titles, tooling, and raised bands to spine. Marbled endpapers, marbled edges. With a collotype frontispiece illustration. Lightly toned throughout, faintly spotted to preliminaries and rear leaves. Edges dulled/toned. Gentle scuffing to boards, rubbing to joints. Mild edgewear. Very good. A full account of Cook's significant nautical career, his undertakings to circumnavigate unknown areas of the Pacific. Authored by the clergyman and scholar Andrew Kippis.
