Sobre este artículo
Washington, DC: National Geographic Society, 1931. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. unattributed. Very Good; see description and scans. See scans and description. Washington, DC: The National Geographic Society,1931. The March, 1931 issue, Volume LIX, Number Three. Quarto, perfect-bound wraps, 130 numbered pages, plus 54 pages of those very engaging vintage ads at the beginning and end (24 at the beginning, 30 at the end), 184 pp total. Plenty of both color and black and white photos herein; ads, at this time, were all b&w. See summary of illustrations on cover scan. Very Good; light dust at top page edges, faint stains at right-hand edge of most pages, not visible in scans; and...that's about it. Complete spine. See all scans. A nice grade, for the time and for such a scarce issuue; hard to replace. See all scans. In sealed protection, on premises, ready to ship. Inside are pieces on Old Inns of England; Cradles of English HIstory; Tropical Toy Fishes, Denizens of a Miniature Aquarium (with nice color photos); World's Highest Plateaus; Chinese Turkistan; Crusader Castles of the Near East. Classic Parker Pen ad, featuring Maestro Giacomo Puccini, on the back cover. And, as noted, plenty of other vintage ads inside - those being, somehow, always among my favorites offerings from NG. Scarcer issue than many others of the era, particularly in this condition. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course. LNG6
