Sir William Jardine was a 19th-century Scottish naturalist most known for his extensive series of books on natural history, 'The Naturalist's Library'.
This undated edition of Jardine's 'Mammalia' is beautifully color illustrated with 33 engravings of various species of 'dogs'! The plates from Jardine's works are exceedingly desirable and are found framed and displayed by themselves. This volume showcases illustrations and descriptions of wolves, dogs, and foxes. This volume also includes a memorial and portrait of Pallas.
