Sobre este artículo
New York: Dover Publications, 1936. FIRST EDITION. Publisher's cloth; a few annotations in pen and pencil. With the bookplate of Arnold Thackray. First edition. This work is an expansion of three lectures that the author gave at Princeton in 1935, considered a follow-up to his acclaimed book, The logic of modern physics (1927). "Through these books, and through papers on the application of his ideas to other areas of science and even to the social sciences, Bridgman's influence spread far beyond the field of physics" (DSB).
Bridgman (1882-1961) was a noted American physicist and winner of the 1946 Nobel Prize for his work on high-pressure physics. His 1931 publication, The physics of high pressure, remains a foundational work in the field.
